The world class competition, being held by Art.com has Art entries entered from Artists around the globe. Monday, who, for many years, has traveled and produced showings across America, entered a phenomenal abstract titled, "Mardi Gras".
Monday was quoted as saying, "The New Orleans tragedy became my muse of opportunity. It was horrific. The pain of those people reached inside who I am and "Mardi Gras" almost painted itself. The energy of the suffering, in that storm ravaged area, gnawed and clawed through me as that of a starved bear, ripping my terrified body to the core. The impact of that electricity sparked an explosion on the canvas. I was just blessed to be holding the brushes."
Voting began April 23rd and ends on May 7th.
A winner will be announced on May 14th.
